Plant Identification

I have been paying close attention lately to the wild flowers growing in a field behind my house. Normally the area is mowed so I really hadn't noticed them before but since I'm so interested now in plants that are native to my area I decided to go out and take a closer look. Boy was I missing out on some beauties. I have no idea what they are or even if they are natives. While I'm researching I thought I'd post some pictures I took and see if anyone could tell me what they are.

Persian Cornflower or Knapweed or ...?

I'm not that good with plants at all but I can understand what you mean about them being beauties. I love the purple one :). I hope you work out what they are :)

I don't know what they are, but isn't nature amazing! I don't always agree when they call them weeds...I have a weed that looks like a fern growing 3 feet high in my garden and I like it so it stays...lol

Thanks for taking a look!

Rosebud Collection - I'll look up St. John's Wart and see what I can find.

Cherry Lane Jane - Here is a cute quote someone on a message board posted about weeds.
A weed is just a plant that no one has found a purpose for...yet
