Back in December I received a package of resins from South Africa that I ordered from natural perfumer Sophia Du Toit. These are Commiphoras, a genus of flowering plants. It includes about 185 species of trees and shrubs, often armed or thorny, native to Africa, Arabia, and the Indian subcontinent. (taken from Wikipedia)
