Winter Solstice Contest

This giveaway is now closed
This is a quick giveaway.  I planned on making it bigger but you know this time of year is very busy for indie artists and crafters.  And I didn't plan far enough ahead, so...  I have two top notch items to give to one lucky winner.  Continue reading for all the details!

The winter solstice occurs at the instant when the Sun's position in the sky is at its greatest angular distance on the other side of the equatorial plane from the observer. Depending on the shift of the calendar, the event of the winter solstice occurs some time between December 20 and December 23 each year in the northern hemisphere, and between June 20 and June 23 in the southern hemisphere, during either the shortest day or the longest night of the year (answers.com)

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice occurs on December 21, 2008 at 7:04 AM EST.

The winner of this contest will receive Winter Solstice Perfume Spray by Faerie Made (faeriemadesoaps.etsy.com) and Winter Nights Fine Handcrafted Soap by Arcadia Aromatics (SoapStore.etsy.com).

Now, for the rules.

How do you enter?
You can enter up to three times.  One comment about a Faerie Made product, one comment about an Arcadia Aromatics product and one random comment, because those are always fun to read lol. That's it!  This contest is open to everyone!

On December 21, 2008 at 7:04 AM EST I will close this contest and randomly select a winner for this awesome set.

Both crafters are members of Etsy's Soaper Stars street team (as am I).  And I just want to take a moment and brag on my team members. They are the most awesome women and men I've had the pleasure of interacting with. I've used products from each contributor and there is no doubt I'd used their products again.

{whispering} Now, just between you and me, there are several members of this team who are responsible for me picking up a stick blender to soap with instead of using it for cooking. They are the reason I look in my cabinets and wonder, not what I'm going to cook for dinner but rather what would go well in soap. They are the reason NO ONE is allowed to touch my bottles of olive oil. But they don't know that so don't tell them I told you. ;-).

Faerie Made - everything looks so good, but I think a Skin Care Sampler is in order!

Arcadia Aromatics - Hair Care! Oooo, I think I need to try :)

Blossoming Tree - I feel dirty and guilty. How could you force me to look at other soap?! You know I love your products, and now you've made a cheater of me. Send me some cleanser or clay mask and I'll forgive your treacherous ways.

I am a new "handmade soap" addict. I've only tried one but I don't think I can ever go back to regular soap. I wish I had the money to try every scent out there!

Wow, these are wonderful crafters to share with us!

The Faerie Made seems so beautiful, clean, and natural. And Arcadia Aromatics is so clever! I especially love the idea of the solid shampoo and conditioner. And the interesting shapes of some of the products - love it!

I would love to try the soap! Right now I use commercial body wash... but it still leaves my skin dry... handmade soap seems like the way to go.

Oh and random comment? I absolutely ADORE the picture at the top of your blog, it's beautiful.

I guess you can tell that I like minty soaps. Both of those sites soaps look lucious enough to eat.

My family knows that I am addicted to bath and body goodies. So guess what Santa is getting me? LOL...
